Necesidad de test de acuarios

Los test de parametros son una necesidad en nuestro arte, en este tema detallaremos cuáles son imprescindibles y utilización de todos. 

Su finalidad es para tener una OPTIMA CALIDAD DEL AGUA , respecto a .QUÍMICA del agua, control de AMONIO NITRITOS o NITRATOS y para control de otros parámetros.

Hay test de tiras,gotas,etc.

Tratare de explicar cuales test son los mas necesarios, su funcion y casos en que nos seran necesarios, para ello procedo a enumerarlos y explicar su funcion de acuerdo a su importancia:  

Test de acuarios

 

- Test de PH

Este test lo considero obligatorio,es el mas barato y de no disponer de.el se.puede hacer uno con un repollo morado (hay.muchisimas explicaciones en la web de como hacerlo ).
Ademas para acondicionar el agua para la especie que tendremos lo necesitaremos, muchos se confian usando agua de grifo neutra ( ph 7 ) pensando que en el acuario el ph seguira igual y no es asi. Puede alterarse por acidos ( descomposicion de maderas y restos de plantas) o por elementos alcalinos. 

Lo que es casi seguro es que el acuario no mantendra el ph inicial y lo alterara de acuerdo a ciertos elementos o condiciones de un acuario, 
Por ello considero necesario hacer un control con test mensual al acuario y mas cuando tiene menos de un año.

- Test de Amoníaco  ( NH4 o NH3 ) o test de Nitritos (NO2)

 

A estos los junte porque estan relacionados, para empezar aclaro que el amoniaco( muy toxico) y amonio (  menor toxicidad ) estan presentes en el ecosistema acuatico y depende de la temperatura, a mayor sea, sera mayor la concentracion de toxicos amoniacos..
Se puede usar para controlar y culminar el ciclado ( Nitritos 0)
Tambien los dos detectan cuando la colonia b, benefica fue afectada o si el sistema de filtracion es ineficiente o fue afectado bajando la poblacion de bacterias beneficas.
Son medidos en PPM o partes por millon, el amoniaco en concentraciones que superen los 0,2 matan a ciertas especies y de 0,02 estresa a los peces bajando su sistema inmunologico.
Los nitritos estresan a los peces en concentraciones de 0,5 y mata a partir 10 .

 

 

- Test de Nitratos (no3)

 

Este test es necesario en acuario de ciclidos de ph alto ya que por falta de plantas naturales, solo puede reducir a ratos por cambios de agua, pero no se debe olvidar que con el tiempo, los desechos se acumulan bajo las piedras o adornos y estos producen una sobrepoblacion bacteriana que puede llevar los nitratos a las nubes, ojo que esto tambien pasa en acuarios comunes con piedras grandes y adornos, por ello de tenerlos recomiendo periodicamente aspirar o sifonear abajo de estos.
Como les decia los nitratos se reducen con cambios de 25 a 30% senanal o a lo mas cada 10 dias ( en un acuario comun normal con plantas, sin arriesgar los peces, no es que moririan de lo contrario pero serian mas debiles propensos a enfermarse y no tendrian una calidad optima de agua ).

De hacer cambios mayores se reduciria la colonia bacteriana y eso es muy peligroso, provoca aumento del amoniaco inicialmente, de alli reproduccion bacteriana que oxidaria el amoniaco excedente ( excedente porque se disminuyo la poblacion b.b. que lo reducia a nitratos ) a nitritos tambien muy toxicos y estos nitritos demoraran muchos dias hasta llegar a su pico maximo que provocaria el nacimiento de las bacterias que lo oxidaran a nitratos. 


  Todo este proceso es muy peligroso para los peces por ello lo explico ya que amigos nuevos leeran este enlace.


Los nitratos de 50 ppm para arriba matan a peces.

 

- Test de KH

 

  El KH o dureza permanente es la capacidad (basada en carbonatos y bicarbonatos) del agua de ser alterada en su ph, se determina por la concentracion de todas las sales minerales de calcio y magnesio con acido carbonico, lo que influye la resistencia a alterar el PH de ser alto.

Es decir un agua con KH alto es muy dificil de alterar en su PH, los acidos o elementos alcalinos que agreguemos no afectaran el PH y seran absorvidos por los carbonatos y bicarbonatos, tambien llamado tampon buffer.
En cambio un agua con kh menor que 3 es un agua muy variable en su PH, su resistencia a alterarse o KH es nuy debil por lo que es propensa a grandes fluctuaciones del PH, esta agua puede de golpe subir o bajar drasticamente y mucho matando a los peces, en este caso se debera aditar carbonatos o bicarbonatos a fin de subir el KH.

Este test normalmente, es decir mientras nuestra agua tenga un KH y ph adecuado, no lo necesitariamos, pero si queremos alterar el PH sera necesario
De todas formas es bueno y necesario saber el KH de nuestra agua asi que en caso de no tener este test, recomiendo hacer analizar el agua en una tienda de peces a fin de saber si es adecuado.
