Los nitratos altos son un problema común en acuarios , en ciertas ocasiones por errores e inexperiencia y en otro como resultado del paso del tiempo y algo de descuido , acá trataremos sus causantes y como solucionar este problema.

Nitratos altos, porqué?:
Nitratos son el resultado de la reduccion de la toxicidad del amoniaco por parte de las bacterias benéficas o ciclo del nitrógeno
Hay dosposibilidades, o VIENE CON EL AGUA DE GRIFO Y DEBEN REVISAR o el PROBLEMA ESTÁ EN EL ACUARIO .
En acuarios hay diversos factores y a continuación los explicaremos.
Con el tiempo los acuarios van acumulando desechos en el fondo,. dependiendo de la limpieza que hagamos es un resultado inevitable a la corta o a la larga,. estos restos van creando depositos de nutrientes y bacterias aerobias ( que consumen oxigeno y liberan nitritos y nitratos.

Factores que producen altos Nitratos:
Sobre todo las piedras grandes o adornos que aplastan la grava producen estos depositos de desechos que crean sobrepoblación bacteriana.
Estos desechos actuan como sustrato fertil hasta en acuarios no plantados, pero superan en sus nutrientes a las plantas , lo que producira logicamente algas.
No nos daremos cuenta y tendremos muchisima materia de mucho tiempo atras y esto es lo que produce las algas ,.es un exceso de nutrientes que no sabemos de donde sale ya que esta escondido..( claro que la iluminacion y otros factores intervienen pero este es el MAS COMUN ).
Este es el primer sintoma de lo que se viene...
Estos desechos acumulados producen una sobrepoblacion de bacterias beneficas o aerobias ( que consumen oxigeno ) que alimentaran bajo la grava a bacterias anaerobias con el nitrato que emanaran( las anaerobias son las causantes dse putrefaccion , viven donde no llega oxigeno o bajo la grava , el exceso de nitratos las hace reproducirse ).
Entonces se llega a una simbiosis donde los desechos acumulados con el tiempo bajo la grava producen sobrepoblacion de bacterias que consuman estos desechos, aerobias y anaerobias.
Las aerobias ( beneficas ) al ser mas que lo necesario a causa del exceso de desechos producen nitratos de mas
Estos haran nacer mas bacterias anaerobias bajo la grava o putrefaccion ( se alimentan de Nitratos ).
Ademas produciran un exceso de nitratos que la cantidad de plantas no podran asimilar, asi como los cambios de agua seran insuficientes para reducirlos.
Los niveles de nitratos se van a las nubes, ya que la cantidad de bacterias que lo producen son demasiadas y tienen depositos de nutrientes para rato..
Cuando llega un acuario a este punto recien mas de uno se da cuenta... y como? con peces enfermos.
Al enfermarse los peces es comun este problema de Nitratos altos por acumulación de desechos. ya muchos acuarios encontré con este problema.
Claro el que mas limpie mas tiempo no tendra problemas.
La otra solucion que ayuda mucho es tener muchas plantas naturales que consuman estos nutrientes.
